This. "But staying where you are while KNOWING that you donβt want to be there anymore is the hardest." This is THE reason I've made most of the most challenging and rewarding changes in my life. I try to choose the hard joy now rather than the hard despair later.
War of Art by Presfield helped me understand a positive bias for courageous action and the role of resistance in creative endeavours. That the closer to the truth the more resistance there is. For some rather few it is more natural to break the status-quo. For many more not so easy. You have a beautiful mission to help and guide people through the process. βοΈ
War of Art has been in my Kindle for a while now, untouched, because other books landed after and this gem was forgotten. Thank you for the reminder because it does want to be explored. And your nice wordsπ
Klara, love this text! I believe it speaks to a vast amount of readers who aspire to become the greatest versions of themselves.
"You are so drawn to them because you want to experience what they have embodied - which you sort of can in their presence."- this is exactly how you feel in the presence of the ones you look up to.
Thank you, Tomas! I appreciate your thoughtful comment.
That part you quoted, I used to wonder what is that magic that draws me to specific people. Then I found that I'm pulled towards them because I enjoy their unique expression, their flavour that is just different from mine. Other times it's because (as I wrote in the post) they are the embodiment of something I feel is in me as well but it's repressed, mostly out of fear.
Klara, I relate a lot with the repressed part within oneself. These people that we are drawn to are subconsciously whispering to that part of us, fostering it to awaken and express itself.

I just had a powerful body response to this. THANK YOU for sharing that.
Love this
